Siemens – Singapore Metro Project

Siemens – Singapore Metro Project

The Singapore Metro Project is a major urban rail transit program in Singapore, with Siemens supplying metro vehicles for selected lines. Due to Singapore’s hot and humid operating environment, the project places strict requirements on corrosion resistance, dimensional accuracy, and long-term structural stability.

For this project, Conglin Aluminum supplied machined aluminum profiles used in carbody frameworks and selected interior and exterior structural components. All products were manufactured and processed by Conglin and then shipped to Siemens’ assembly facilities for final integration.

How We Help Our Clients

Integrated Extrusion & Machining Capability

Conglin Aluminum provided aluminum profiles manufactured through precision extrusion, followed by mechanical processing, including drilling, milling, and slotting.

Solutions for Humid & Corrosive Environments

To meet Singapore’s high humidity and corrosion resistance requirements, the supplied profiles were produced with controlled material quality and stable surface conditions, supporting long-term durability in demanding metro operating environments.

Ready-for-Assembly Components

By delivering machined, semi-finished structural components, Conglin Aluminum helped Siemens reduce in-house processing, improve assembly efficiency, and maintain stable production schedules.

Result

The successful delivery of machined aluminum profiles for the Siemens Singapore Metro Project further demonstrates Conglin Aluminum’s capability in supporting high-standard metro vehicle programs in challenging environments.

This project strengthens our cooperation with Siemens and reinforces our role as a reliable supplier of aluminum extrusion and machining solutions for global urban rail systems.
