Sustainability at Conglin Aluminum
Conglin Aluminum: Building a Greener Future
At Conglin Aluminum, we understand the importance of sustainability. We are committed to reducing environmental impact, using resources more efficiently, and producing aluminum in a low-carbon way. Our goal is to implement green practices that can be repeated and scaled in all parts of our production process. Here’s how we’re improving sustainability across the company.
Production Capacity and Environmental Management
With an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons of aluminum, we are focused on reducing carbon emissions and energy use. We track these by breaking down our operations across extrusion, anodizing, electrophoretic coating, and powder coating. This helps us manage energy, water usage, and emissions. By using ISO 14001 and other management systems, we focus on reducing carbon footprints, saving water, and increasing recycling rates as part of our yearly goals.
Casting and Extrusion: Focus on Recycled Aluminum and Energy Efficiency
We operate our own casting lines and 15 extrusion lines. We aim to increase the use of recycled aluminum, especially in key sectors like rail transit and commercial vehicles. For these, we balance quality with recycled content, while in the construction and industrial profiles sector, we can use higher percentages of recycled aluminum.
We also conduct energy audits for our larger extrusion machines. This helps us optimize furnace systems, recover heat, and improve insulation, saving energy across our production lines.
Surface Treatment: Water and Chemical Management
Conglin Aluminum owns several lines for anodizing, electrophoretic coating, and powder coating. We monitor and reduce water, electricity, and chemical use in each of these processes. We focus on:
Water recycling in rinsing stages to reduce fresh water use and wastewater.
Recycling waste acids and alkalis or safely disposing of them, reducing harmful sludge and metal emissions.
Low-VOC coatings and automated systems that improve coating efficiency and reduce waste.
These actions help us reduce both costs and environmental impact.

Low-Carbon Product Lines for Key Industries
We supply aluminum for industries such as rail transit, commercial vehicles, containers, and ships. We’re developing special product lines with lower carbon footprints and higher recycled content. We also provide life cycle assessments (LCA) and third-party certification reports for major customers, like CRRC and shipyards, ensuring our products meet green standards such as LEED and EN.
Digitalization and Management Systems
We are enhancing our operations with automation, digital tools, and intelligent systems. We track energy use, water consumption, and emissions data through our existing MES/ERP systems. This gives us solid data to create carbon footprint labels for our products.
Our green team works on setting yearly goals for reducing emissions, saving energy, and cutting waste. We also aim to earn more green certifications, such as recycled aluminum and green factory certifications, to improve our competitiveness in key industries like rail transit and renewable energy.
